Pioneer Plaza
The Texas Trees Foundation dedicated Pioneer Plaza to the City of Dallas as a recognition to Dallas’ beginnings and commemorates early trailblazers. The site features trees and eternal life with bronze sculptures depicting longhorn steers being driven by three cowboys on horses. It is located adjacent to the Dallas Convention Center at Young and Griffin between the historical Pioneer Cemetery and the Dallas Convention Center. Pioneer Plaza is the largest public open space in central business district.
Pioneer Plaza is also home to multiple features including a waterfall and man-made cliffs. You can see the small historical detail on sculptures that someone created.
